Volunteer

Time on your hands?  Feeling a bit bored, perhaps a bit lonely…… Looking for something worthwhile do for our community?  Then we’d love to meet you.

We are a happy friendly group of volunteers and we enjoy fundraising for the hospital.

We hold monthly meetings to plan our fundraising activities and new ideas are always welcome. We also have guest speakers including hospital representatives who update us on equipment the hospital needs.

Perhaps you’d like to help at one of our events or with catering… sandwich making, general preparation or if you like to cook you could supply a slice or cake.

Or perhaps you can help with our street stalls – make handicrafts, grow plants, cook cakes or slices or just help man the stall.

We have two raffles each year, Easter and Christmas, which are both excellent fundraising opportunities.  Some members prefer to spend a morning or an afternoon selling raffle tickets. We normally have a table at the Sapphire Marketplace and have a roster of volunteers to sell tickets.

DO IT YOUR WAY - there is something for everyone and you choose how, when and where you can best help and how much time you want to spend.

The wish list from our hospital is never ending, and so is our enthusiasm. Come join us, have fun and help us spend all that wonderful money we raise. That’s the best part. The spending. And we are good at it - in 2019 we raised $60,000 and our hospital certainly appreciates our efforts.

If you would like to get involved and help our community, please contact us for more information.
